Project Overview

Due to the success of the first 1020 tonne of structural steel and platework fabricated for the Hope
Downs 1 Stage 2 project, IPS was awarded the management for the remaining 750 tonne to complete
the phase 2 extension for Hope Downs 1 Stage 2 project. IPS had the responsibility to manage the
fabrication of this steel to be completed by early August 2008 allowing only 2 months.

The project involved the fabrication of Screening Buildings, Secondary Crushers, Transfer Stations and
Conveyors. The AssemblyBASE material tracking system in correlation with Primavera 6 was crucial for
the ease of reporting and scheduling to show the status of the fabrication and logistical progress of the
project.

The above systems can also be used in conjunction with job cost and to control progress payments to the
fabricator.
