Project Overview

The Brockman 4 Train Load-Out Bin project involved the fabrication of 336 tonne of heavy structural steel and platework steel.  IPS had the responsibility to manage the fabrication of this steel to be completed in a time frame of approximately 2 months.

The project involved the management of two workshops involving welding of heavy plate to construct the bin and heavy structural steel section sizes.

The AssemblyBASE material tracking system was crucial for the ease of reporting and scheduling to show the exact status of the fabrication and logistical progress of the project

Although this was a relatively small project it was a complex project with respect to maximizing the work to be carried out at the fabricators to minimize the onsite manhours
